Irma's "Strong Bones" Thursday Dinner, New Hope (monthly) (DH004)

Bones are our internal infrastructure. They support us from our first step to our last. Our bones need to be fed calcium and mineral-rich foods to maintain our bone bank account. Irma's Suppers meeting will be focused on unprocessed, calcium- and mineral-rich foods to feed our bones. The meeting is especially good for those that have been diagnosed with osteopenia and or osteoporosis or have broken bones in the past.

Usually every 2nd Thursday. Food preparation takes place from 6:00 to 7:00; meal, meeting and clean-up from 7:00 to 8:00.

Menu: Dairy-free. Omnivores and vegetarians can be accommodated.

Irma went from the board room on Wall Street to the cutting board in her kitchen after returning to school at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. Her diagnosis of osteopenia created her company, Food for Healthy Bones, through which she advises clients that choosing calcium-rich foods is the first step in their bone-building journey. Read Irma's story here, and watch her video about mindful eating here. Irma has a delicious bohemian artist son who brings a smile to her bones. She lives in New Hope, PA.
